Hard To Treat

This scheme targets homeowners with either solid walls or off the gas network with an energy SAP grade rating less than 40. The scheme is funded by West Yorkshire Housing Partnership supported by the relevant local authorities and provides free external/ internal insulation, and/or a gas connection with full central heating , and/or solar thermal water heating and air source heat pump.

Kirklees Warm Zone

Kirklees Warm Zone is one of the biggest and most comprehensive programmes to tackle domestic energy efficiency and climate change in the UK. Offering free loft and cavity wall insulation to every home in Kirklees, which is suitable for these measures, up to 30th June 2010.

West Yorkshire Saving Energy (WYSE)

West Yorkshire Saving Energy is a scheme for households who are unable to qualify for one of the available grants. The scheme offers insulation and central heating through a small network of approved contractors meeting our high quality and customer care standards.

Health Action Calderdale, Kirklees and Wakefield

This scheme replaced Health Action Claderdale and Kirklees in 2004 with the joining of Wakefield Council to the project. It offers free cavity or loft insulation to any householder with cold related illness or over the age of 60.

Affordable Warmth

Through the West Yorkshire Housing Parntership, this scheme aims to provide free central heating to householders in fuel poverty, with low incomes and living within a council tax band A to C. For households off the gas network, a connection would be made at no cost to the home owner. Under certain circumstances free loft or cavity wall insulation would also be offered.

Warm Homes Kirklees

Funded by Kirklees Council the scheme is aimed at owner occupiers or individuals renting privately with a fuel poverty indicator greater than 15% i.e. through an energy rating households must be indicated to spend more than 15% of their household income on fuel, have a household income less than £20,000 and be without any form of central heating. It offers gas connection (if required) and full gas central heating with the aim of making these homes more affordable to heat.

Priority Free Insulation Scheme

Working with one of our trusted installers we are offering free cavity wall and loft insulation to all homes where a member of the household is over 70 or in receipt of a qualifying benefit.

Energy Help Loans Project

In January 2002, the Energy Help Loans project offered interest-free loans to owner-occupiers who cannot access loans through normal channels, to have energy efficiency measures installed in their properties. A revolving loan fund of approximately £140k per year has enabled over 120 householders to improve the energy efficiency of their property.
