YES Energy Solutions’ sales manager, Ian Calvert has been selected as one of NEA’s national Heat Heros for his work in helping vulnerable residents in Park Homes save energy and money.
On the 7th September, Ian will accompany 16 other finalists at the Houses of Commons to receive his award.
Ian manages the North Lincolnshire Park Homes Insulation Scheme – an innovative initiative helping improve the look and feel of 35 properties to help reduce fuel poverty in Scunthorpe.
Throughout the scheme Ian has gone over and above the call of duty to help local residents save energy and cut their fuel bills. This included scheduling extra appointments around residents with specific needs, offering bespoke energy saving advice and actually installing floor insulation to help residents trap even more heat.
The Heat Hero awards are an annual event run by NEA in partnership with ScottishPower that celebrate individuals who have made a significant commitment to reducing fuel poverty in the UK.
