The last six months

It’s been an eventful six months at YES Energy Solutions.

Penguin Waving SlantedHaving won ECO funding in April to help vulnerable residents improve their heating facilities, we are now supporting a series of SME installers to expand their operations and target fuel poor communities.

We’ve teamed up Northern Gas Networks and soon will be implementing a project to help connect residents across Yorkshire to the mains gas grid.

Our external wall insulation project in Stamford is running at full pelt thanks to a proactive partnership with South Kesteven District Council.

And as the year draws to a close we have redefined our social values to ensure that all of our work focusses on reducing CO2 and alleviating fuel poverty.

Follow the links below for more information on our latest developments:

Fighting fuel poverty with E.ON
Since winning an ECO funding contract with E.ON, YES Energy Solutions has supported the developments of several SME installation firms and helped hundreds of householders out of fuel poverty.

Cooking on gas
YES Energy Solutions has joined forces with Northern Gas Networks, to help several vulnerable communities make the switch to a more cost effective household fuel.

Warmer homes in Stamford
Having recently insulated over 500 Council properties in South West Lincolnshire, YES Energy Solutions has recently won a new external wall insulation contract with South Kesteven District Council.

Say YES to solar
Despite the Government’s plans to reduce the Feed in Tariff subsidy, YES Energy Solutions has taken on a number of domestic and commercial solar PV projects.

Be Green, Be Gracious, Be Great!
We have implemented some new company values to ensure that our work always achieves our mission: to reduce CO2 and alleviate fuel poverty.

Affordable finance
Since the collapse of the Green Deal Finance scheme, householders have been struggling to find the means to invest in energy efficiency without breaking the bank. That’s why YES Energy Solutions has teamed up with Norton Finance to help make energy saving measures more affordable for our customers.

Installer benefits
During the last six months we have created a series of packages to help our Green Deal Installer Hub members develop their businesses and remain competitive.

SMEs Tackle Fuel Poverty

By distributing ECO funding, offering advice and training opportunities, YES Energy Solutions has helped many SME installer businesses develop and gain the necessary tools to support residents living in fuel poverty.

Central-Heating-Installer-2In the last financial year, we funded 14 SME installers and saved over 119,500 tonnes of CO2. This work helped hundreds of vulnerable residents save money on their fuel bills and improve the look and feel of their homes.

Our contracting network ‘Green Deal Installer Hub’ now has over 2000 members. Every month we communicate the latest funding opportunities, industry news and policy developments.

One recent Hub promotion helped a series of SMEs in the Leeds City Region gain PAS2030 accreditation at a discounted rate. This has enabled smaller contractors to work on Government backed schemes, access funding and directly support fuel poor communities.

Cutting the Confusion out of ECO & Green Deal – A simple guide for Local Authorities

Energy efficiency experts, YES Energy Solutions and APSE have developed a handy ‘how to’ guide for Local Authorities to learn about the benefits of introducing ECO and Green Deal initiatives.

ECO and Green Deal GuideIt’s fair to say that ECO and Green Deal have become something of a minefield since their launch in 2013. There has been a lot of noise made about these flagship Government initiatives, but do Local Authorities really know what they are all about and how they could use them to cut CO2 and reduce fuel poverty?

YES Energy Solutions have a rich history of Local Authority collaborations and were amongst the first industry pioneers to work under the ECO and Green Deal framework. They are keen to share their knowledge and experience and help Local Authorities take full advantage of the energy saving opportunities from these key Government policies.

The main purpose of the Guide is to strip down all the confusing technical jargon and simply explain how ECO and Green Deal work, what each scheme is trying to achieve and how Local Authorities can get involved.

The Guide, titled – ‘What is ECO and Green Deal’, provides information on the ECO funding criteria, the full scope of the Green Deal supply chain and how initial property assessments influence how much funding is available to householders.
